I record Adobe Captivate tutorials on procedures I use myself. One such topic that I haven't covered before now is shared actions. I simply haven't had a reason to use them in my everyday work. I would use "advanced actions" for the navigation controls I would put at the beginning of my course and display for the rest of the project. One problem is that you can't have items displayed for rest of project and contained in fluid boxes. I'm going to attempt to solve it using a shared action today.
In this Adobe Captivate tutorial, I show you how you can replace the text expand icon used in your responsive design projects for something else. I used a grey icon of a book so as to match more eLearning designs, however, you are free to use whatever style you wish.
About two years ago I was scheduled to go on vacation but also had to get started on one of my projects. I took this opportunity to use the newly released Adobe Captivate Draft to begin the storyboarding process and get a jump start on my development as well. In this video tutorial, I walk you through the process of creating a storyboard using Adobe Captivate Draft. I also discuss that Draft is not just for storyboarding but can be for content gathering as well. For this demonstration, I'm using my iPad Mini 2, but it is compatible with any iPad on the market today. A longer tutorial but I tried to find the right balance between comprehensive and concise. I hope I was successful in achieving that.
